I have four years of international teaching experience, two of those years I taught ESL in my second language, French, to further my proficiency to an ACTFL Low Advanced level. My domestic teaching experience includes teaching English at the Middle School level to AP levels of English (both American and British). My international experience includes ESL in France at CE2, CM1 and CM2 and beginners to advanced levels ESL for elementary children to adults.

My lessons are meaningfully contextualized and include the four methods of communication: listening, reading, writing and speaking. I use various methods to meet the special needs of individual learners, integrate media and realia to deepen comprehension. I use performance indicators in reaching grammatical and content objectives outlined by American Council of Foreign Languages.

I create inclusive communities and allow for opportunities for self expression.
