Hello! I'm Bernard-Alexandre, a passionate teacher with over 10 years of experience. Originally from the beautiful province of Quebec, Canada, I’ve spent the last decade immersing myself in the vibrant cultures of Asia, teaching in various schools across the region. This has not only enriched my understanding of diverse educational settings but also deepened my approach to teaching, making it more adaptable and engaging. In addition to teaching, I am an artist specializing in sculpture and painting, with experience in teaching art history. I speak three languages, and through my own journey of language learning, I truly understand the challenges and rewards it brings. This firsthand experience shapes my teaching approach, ensuring it’s both empathetic and effective. I keep up-to-date with the latest research on language learning, ensuring that my methods are always grounded in proven, up-to-date practices. My goal is to make French not only a language students can master but also a process they enjoy and feel motivated by. I love learning from different cultures and believe in creating an environment where students can feel inspired and confident, no matter where they come from.
I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs, goals, and level. My teaching approach is patient and supportive, focused on building confidence while helping students achieve their objectives. I use a variety of resources, including the ÉDITO method, which is great for improving French skills, understanding French culture and history, and preparing for DELF or DALF exams. I adapt my approach to make learning enjoyable and effective, ensuring that each lesson addresses the unique learning style of every student.
As a TEF Canada specialist, I have developed effective strategies to help students score higher, especially in the oral expression and comprehension parts of the exam. I teach my students common mistakes to avoid and share useful tricks to maximize their points. With years of experience and a deep understanding of the TEF structure, I provide targeted support to ensure students feel prepared and confident for their exam.
