English Violin lessons in Paris or at home

Greetings! My lessons are open to beginners and advanced players (starting from 7 years of age). During our work together, I will guide you to being able to express yourself musically as an artist today and for the rest of your life. This lofty goal requires an intentional program, tailored to the specific needs of the student. I change my approach constantly depending on the age, interests, specific goals of the student (and of the parents).

Central topic of the lesson is the discovery of violin mechanics. Learning how to move around the instrument, and not forcing our way against it. I constantly challenge the student, introducing more difficult tasks and raising the bar. I build from the very simplest tasks to the most complex in a gradual manner, and avoiding dry exercises of pure technique. To that purpose I generally employ etudes of my own writing, play duets, and involve them in chamber music with their fellow students in public performances.

BIO: I am a composer, violinist and violist. I studied in Switzerland and Austria (Graz). After graduating I briefly played as a violist with the orchestra of the Slovenian National Theater in Maribor, before finding my true calling in teaching. Since 2022 I have been working as a private violin tutor in Ticino. At the same time I have been helping more than a hundred students improving their general musical skills (harmony, counterpoint, ecriture etc...) and pass their musical exams with flying colors!


Of course, the first trial lesson is free.
I offer a budle of 10 60-minute lessons at 30€/h, for lessons at my domicile.
For lessons at the students house I ask for a 10€ surcharge per lesson.
