I am writing to express my strong interest in the position of English teacher. As a current student of the TEFL certification course and having lived in Nice for six weeks (February - March 2023), I am passionate about teaching English to French learners and helping them achieve their language goals.
My love for the French language and culture started at a young age when I began learning it in elementary school. I have been loosely studying French for several years and my time in Nice allowed me to experience the language and culture in a more immersive way, which solidified my desire to teach English in France.
As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language. I believe that my experience learning French can help me be a more effective English teacher. As I am currently enrolled in the TEFL certification course, I believe I have a great foundation to begin my career teaching English abroad.
I currently hold a bachelors degree in Psychology and am a native english speaker. I am excited about the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion for language with students in France. Coming from a small rural town in Vermont, USA I believe that I can offer a unique perspective and make a positive impact on the learning experiences of my students.
