TEFL certified, master's graduate with over 3 years experience of teaching English as a foreign language

I am a highly motivated and academically accomplished teacher. I have a background in photography/photojournalism and gained my TEFL certificate whilst working full-time in a customer facing role. I love to travel and although originally from Scotland, have been living in France for the last 4 years.

I discovered a passion for teaching when I moved to France and was faced with the enormous challenge of trying to find work in a country where I didn't speak the language. I know first-hand the difficulties of living somewhere you don't quite feel like you fit in.

Fortunately, my French has since improved, but I love being able to help others get to a place where they feel comfortable speaking in a language that is not their own.
