Bonjour ! I'm Julia, a professional language teacher from Saint-Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia. Recently, I moved to France to learn French, enjoy the architecture, walk in the mountains, and eat éclairs. Learning French does not go very easy for me, but it gives a lot of teaching insights :)
Teaching Russian is my only profession, I don't do any other job :) I tried many things, and nothing else could bring me as much happiness and energy as lessons! I also run a speaking club for my students.
My other passions are calligraphy (if you want to learn Russian handwriting, you're in the right spot), literature, history, traveling, food, and birds.
8 years of teaching Russian as a foreign language:
-Offline and online
- Groups and individuals
- From zero to advanced students
- Students from every continent
My teaching superpowers are:
- Getting you talking
- Explaining difficult grammar like you're five
- Teaching vocabulary (we can even do 100 words per hour, but it requires intensive training)
- Using authentic materials from A1 level (songs, animations, memes)
I'm very proud with my students' success:
- Passed TRKI-2 exam with 89%
- Moved to Moscow and became a part of the local community
- Made Russian friends in their own country
- Took over their fear of speaking
- Could hold conversation with their wife's Russian parents
- Watched a Russian film in original (on A2 level!!!)
- Found a Russian beloved one and they are happy together!
