Maria Zaliuka

I am passionate about teaching and learning foreign languages. Over the past sixteen years (eight of which I have been teaching online for the Moscow State University online courses and also have taught Russian at the international schools teaching both UK and US National Curriculum) I have enjoyed working with a wide range of students of different abilities, backgrounds and languages.
I am working ONLINE with students from A1-C1 level: BEGINNER - ADVANCED (Russian for conversation, tourism, business, university course, etc). Also I am preparing for TORFL exam and iGCSE exam in Russian as a Foreign Language and Russian as a First Language.
My lessons are well prepared, interactive with all the necessary resources that you can access any time on the Miro board or get them in pdf for free.
My strength in teaching languages is being good at encouraging students and keeping them motivated by providing them with various activities and ways of learning. I always try to find an individual approach for every student to make learning easy, fun and interesting!
My recent professional interests include organising Speaking club and Russian History Club for the learners of Russian. I am planning to start an app for the History of Russian combining the learning of the language with a history study. Besides, my students are keen on participating in Literature Club where we read, analyze and discuss the famous Russian author's novels and poems.
It is my goal to combine my range of experience and my ability to be compassionate, enthusiastic and intelligent teacher who will motivate and inspire students to discover the Russian language and the culture.
