I am Setareh Rahnama: music artist, architect and educator. I am keen on exploring the connection between music, space and movement.
I was lucky to find my passion in music and dance when I was a child and I have been playing the Violin as my principal instrument for more than 20 years, under the supervision of great masters like Mehran Rohani, Iman Fakhr, Amir Ahmad Javadi, Ashkan Khamsepour, Babak Kouhestani, Danial Jorabchi, Ramiyar Behzadi and Showan Tavakol, etc. I started teaching music to adults and especially kids when I was 18, and eventually, I was able to co-found the Randamak Music Teaching Method in collaboration with Mr. Amir Ahmad Javadi. To follow up my interest in music pedagogy, I am now working on developing a new method of teaching the Violin for beginners.
I have been playing with different orchestras conducted by renowned conductors like Arash Gholamipour (Baroque Orchestra), Alireza Mashayekhi (Contemporary Music Festival), Nader Mashayekhi (Nader Mashayekhi Orchestra), Amir Ahang (Hannaneh Orchestra), Saeid Alijani (Chroma Chamber Orchestra), Mehrdad Teymoori (Shargh Chamber Orchestra), etc, and I have played in bands like Damavand Quartet and Pishband Trio, to name a few.
